Take the Holy Spirit

Sometimes you may have seen on television, ‘If you say this little prayer, you’ve been

born again and saved and you’re ushered into the Kingdom.’

It is a command that we are to be baptized, but let’s look at this word here: “…Repent and be baptized each one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you yourselves shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

This is interesting; they didn’t have to really do much to receive the Holy Spirit right then. They had to be in obedience to Jesus Christ. Jesus told them to wait, or tarry, there in Jerusalem until Pentecost, at which time the Holy Spirit would be given.
