The Righteousness of Christ

The Righteousness of Christ. By: Albert Jones. - July 22, 2022

Good evening everyone from North America, the Great Lakes State of Michigan.

It is not quite Sabbath here yet, but we are approaching that sunset and anticipate God's rest, which enables us each week to be replenished and lifted up.

So it's always an excellent opportunity to come and address the brethren and bring a message.

Well, once again, happy Sabbath to everyone; tonight's message I've prepared for us is the "Righteousness of Christ." Truly, we know that Christ is righteous; He was God, God in the flesh, and God is righteous. But I wanted to focus on His righteousness from a different perspective. I wanted us to think deeply about what that righteousness does for us and how that is made possible.

I want to focus on three significant things tonight.

  1.      The fact that Christ has made justification possible by his righteousness. It's His righteousness that makes it possible. His entire experience that we, too experiencing spiritually, is made possible by his righteousness and what he did. Hopefully, I will bring out some things that will help us to appreciate it even more.
  2. The other fact that we want to come to a little bit of an understanding on is that our righteousness is it's not sufficient. It's not enough, though we strive, as God's spirit moves us with all of our minds, soul, and being. Our righteousness falls short of what is necessary for us to be justified by the Father.
  3. And finally, the third item. Because of Him, we, as the chosen of God, have that promise, assurance, in a sure hope; because of Him, this includes God's love. So we will talk about those three things a little bit as I go through the scriptures.
